Happy Monday friends! We’re currently recovering from yesterday’s wedding and still drinking coffee to keep us motivated.
Welcome to the TréCreative blog! We are Stephen&Chelsey, the husband and wife team behind TréCreative Film&Photo. We love going on adventures together and finding new ways to love our TréCreative family. On our blog, you’ll get to meet our amazing couples, see some of our adventures unfold, and hear about wedding day tips&tricks! We’re so glad you’re here!
Eric&Abby met us in beautiful Clearlake California for their Spring engagement session.
Sean&Jaclyn were married in Sacramento at the Barn at Second Wind along the Sacramento River.
Jeff&Tosha are getting married later this year in Cottonwood, California on the family property.
Now we don’t like to play favorites around here, so we don’t say this often…but this is one of our favorite wedding videos ever! It is one of our favorites for three reasons.
1. Laura is my (Stephen) sister!!! Being able to capture memories like this for family is truly special. Working with family is a breeze too because everyone is already comfortable with each other and there’s no added pressure or stress. We both have siblings but Laura was the first to get married and it was an honor to be able to capture her and Jovanni’s story on film. On top of that, my dad was the one officiating the wedding. He did an awesome job and was able to tell the couple’s story so well.
2. This wedding was in one of the most beautiful places in the world to shoot, Panama! The wedding was held at the historic Panamá Viejo. Everywhere you look at this venue, there are old ruins from the old Panama city. It is so fun to explore, and definitely a great backdrop for photos and videos. While we were in Panama, we visited the San Blas islands, which you’ll see glimpses of in this film as well. They are these secluded little islands in the middle of the ocean. If you’re ever in Panama, these islands are a must visit place!
3. We brought along some photo and video friends of ours Brittney&Caleb for this wedding to help us capture the day. They are a husband and wife photo video duo just like us based out of Minnesota. We shot their wedding back in 2015 and have stayed in touch ever since. Because this was a family wedding, we wanted to make sure we had amazing second shooters to help capture parts of the day where we needed to be in photos (like family photos). They did awesome and we are so thankful we invited them along for the adventure!
Jovanni&Laura’s wedding day was so fun to capture! From the anticipation of getting ready, the moments where we thought it might just rain (but it didn’t), and that first look…wait ’till you see that first look! It was all just perfect. The friends and family that surrounded these two love them so dearly and it truly shows.

Gary&Kasandra planned a beautiful destination wedding at Secrets Los Cabos Mexico with their closest friends and family!
After a long and dry summer drought, the skies opened up and Chico was bombarded with rain! It was the first week of January and these two were planning the celebration of a lifetime. According to the forecast, rain was inevitable. Luckily, Aaron&Jessie had planned ahead and chose the perfect venue for a wet winter day, Lakeside Pavilion. With so many outdoor venue options in Chico, weddings can run into issues if the clouds overhead decide to downpour…but not at Lakeside! The ceremony was set up inside with guests seated at their reception tables, comfy and dry!
We snuck these two outside under a nearby covering for a little privacy and natural light during their first look and portraits. They were troopers and no amount of rain could spoil this day. We heard it from so many people, during speeches, and in conversations. These two just mesh, they are perfect for one another. It was so fun to hear about their history when Aaron’s mom dug out a love letter from back in high school! What made this day extra special was it was on the anniversary of their first kiss.
One of our favorite parts of the day was when the officiant had everyone in the audience stand. He explained how he was a fan of baseball and how at baseball games, if the home team is down, they will get the crowd to just scream and yell, showing their support. Sometimes this is all the team needs to boost their moral and finish the game strong. During the wedding ceremony he had everyone in the audience stand, and on the count of three, they went wild! Aaron&Jessie stood there with their eyes closed and just felt the immense love that surrounded them from all angles. Just hearing the size and depth of the crowd, full of family and friends that were rooting for team Aaron&Jessie, it was such a powerful moment.
After dating for some years, Aaron was ready to propose. It was Christmas day and he planned a sweet surprise in Upper Bidwell park for Jessie. When the arrived on the scene, Jessie totally thought it was for someone else and started snapchatting the details. When she turned around Aaron had a GoPro recording as he popped the question, so cute! We love the energy these two bring to a room, they are lighthearted and always cracking jokes. The way they love and care for one another is inspiring and we’re so glad we were able to capture a glimpse of their love story through a wedding video. Stephen and I made a commitment that every year we would get on the other side of the camera at least once. What better way to do that than to have our own anniversary photos taken!
For the first time this week, it truly felt like summer. In the town we live in, we’ll have the most beautiful Spring weather and then all of a sudden towards the end of May, it will feel like a heat wave just hit us. That totally happened this week and right now, the air conditioner in the TréCrib is on full blast! Okay okay, I might be a little dramatic about how hot it’s gotten, but it always takes me a few weeks to acclimate to the new changes. Anyone else feel that way?!?
Cameron&Macy were married on the same grounds where their story started as just friends. Macy’s parent’s backyard backs up to Butte Creek Country Club where Cameron&Macy tied the knot. Congrats you two!
