A Rainy Canyon Oaks Country Club Wedding Day – Toby&Jessica

Toby&Jessica met at middle school dance! She was in 7th grade and he was in 8th at the time. Isn’t that the cutest thing you’ve ever heard?!?

Little did they know that day that they would be getting married on a rainy day in October. Toby&Jessica are such a good pair, they truly compliment one another.

Their wedding day was forecasted for rain but that didn’t change the positive mood these two had all day long! Miraculously, the rain held up just enough and we were able to get portraits of these two, their bridal party and even family photos done prior to the ceremony before it started dumping. During the ceremony guests cozied up under a tent as these two proclaimed their love for one another. Their vows were heartfelt and had happy tears streaming down people’s faces like the rain just outside the tent.

From their engagement photo session, to their wedding photos and now their film, Toby&Jessica have been just the best! They are so easy going, fun to be around and their love for one another makes capturing them on camera a breeze. We’re so excited for their future and the love-based legacy that they’re creating through their marriage.

Taber Ranch Wedding Videography – Ricky&Anjelica’s Wedding Film

Editing this film we couldn’t help but smile the entire time. These two have a joy that is truly contagious. From their heartfelt and hilarious vows, to their funky fresh dance moves, these two were such a pleasure to capture on film. Their wedding day was hot, but that didn’t phase these two one bit. They had cute white umbrellas ready for guests to shade themselves during the ceremony which was a great idea!

We knew these two knew had a good time from their engagement session they requested to do at a fair! The loved the bright colors, the fun atmosphere and we totally know why. It truly fits their personalities! Their wedding was the same theme, incredibly FUN, colorful, and inspired by their favorite Disney movie, UP. These two went all out to make sure their guests also had the time of their lives at this wedding. The delicious food, the choreographed dances, and not to mention the ice cream, popcorn, and other sweet treats! They even brought along our very own TréBooth to this one which was super fun to have around!

One thing we love most about this couple is their laughter and spunk they have for life. They weren’t afraid to completely be themselves in planning this wedding. We can’t think of a time that these two didn’t have a smile on their face throughout the day. We have no doubt that Ricky&Anjelica’s marriage will be filled with lots of great adventures, laughter, family and some crowd-pleasing dance moves! Thank you Ricky&Anjelica for asking us to be part of your amazing wedding. Your family is just as amazing as you two and we were blessed to spend a beautiful summer day with you all!

What is Rising Tide Society, Tuesdays Together, and This Whole #CommunityOverCompetition Thing?

The Rising Tide Society community means the world to Chelsey and I! We had been craving a better creative industry community here in Chico and when we heard about RTS and these Tuesdays Together meet-ups, we knew we had to bring it to Chico!

We applied to be leaders of the Chico chapter and before we knew it we were diving in head first. We added all the creatives we knew to our local Facebook group and just watched it grow from there!

This January, we met up with a bunch of other Rising Tide Society leaders for the annual leader’s retreat which this year was held in one of our favorite cities, San Francisco! It was held at the Honeybook headquarters which was SO fun for us to see too because we use and love HB.

There we had the honor of capturing the RTS story through a film which we have for you to watch below! The hopes is that through this film we can help continue to spread the word about this truly life-giving movement to new heights. One of the interview questions we asked was ‘How has Rising Tide Society impacted your local community?” It was SO cool to hear the responses from leaders from all over of how not only is RTS impacting their businesses and others around them, but giving back to the communities that surround them in positive ways.

If you’re reading this and hearing about Rising Tide Society for the first time, or maybe you’ve seen the hashtag #CommunityOverCompetition floating around Instagram, you need to check out the full film to see what this is all about.

P.S. I know, I know, this sounds like I’m about to sell you something. But RTS and Tuesdays Together meet-ups and resources are all completely FREE. We’re all about lowering the barrier to entry for creative entrepreneurs! If you’re a creative entrepreneur or small business owner you need to get involved! Find a local Tuesdays Together meetup near you and see what it’s all about.

Lakeside Pavilion Wedding Video – Matt&Taylor

We knew from the moment we met these two at their engagement session that working with them was going to be such a joy! They are easy going, carefree, and they love each other so well! Capturing their wedding through photos and a wedding film was so fun for us! Especially, because the officiant was one of our past grooms, Travis! Him and his wife Kelsey helped out so much and it was great seeing them again at this wedding! At the time Matt&Taylor got together, they both were working alongside Travis, so it was fun to hear him tell his fun third party story of how these two became a pair! We used his audio throughout the film to drive the wedding video’s narrative as well as snippets from the speeches during the reception.

Matt&Taylor were married at Lakeside Pavilion in Chico. They had their ceremony on the back patio overlooking the lake, and their reception inside the open large hall inside. For photo and video portraits of these two we walked over to a nearby spot which has lush trees and lots of good light!

Along with the other festivities, Matt&Taylor also had our photo booth there along for the fun which was a blast! Guests had a great time celebrating with these two on the dance floor and sent them off with style at the end of the night in Hotel Diamond’s getaway car. All in all, it was a wonderful day and we are thankful for Matt&Taylor trusting us with their photos and video. Make sure to full screen their film below and tell these two your favorite part of their day the comments below!

Wine & Roses Lodi, CA Wedding Videographer – Carson&Tiffany’s Wedding Film

It doesn’t take long watching these two to feel the love radiating between them! On their wedding day, Carson&Tiffany chose not to see one another before the ceremony and this built the joyful anticipation for the ceremony up so high! They did have a quiet moment where they held hands around a big wooden door in preparation for the ceremony. When the time came around, Carson was SO ready to finally see his bride.

These two took the time to write their own personal vows and it was one of the most special times throughout the day. Looking around the ceremony we could see bridesmaids, parents and even some groomsmen tearing up!

Their wedding ceremony and reception was held at Wine & Roses in Lodi which was a gorgeous and romantic location for guests to explore. It flowed so well, from the ceremony under the large trees above, the cocktail hour under the twinkling cafe lights, to the reception in the spacious and beautifully decorated ballroom.

We are so excited for these two and their new adventure of marriage together. We hope this wedding video will remind them of the day that started it all for many years to come!

Jack London State Park Wedding Film // Mike&KK

Mike&KK’s day was full of so much happiness from start to finish! Everywhere we turned (and pointed the cameras) people were smiling ear to ear. From the surprise gifts in the morning to dancing the night away with friends and family that night, there was constant joy and laughter in the air. We expected nothing less of these two. Right after their Baker Beach engagement session, we knew these two were going to be a pleasure to work with. They are constantly snuggling up, having fun and making each other laugh together. They go on so many adventures as a couple and this wedding was one of their biggest yet!

The wedding was held at Jack London State Park in Glen Ellen, California. This state park is such a cool place for a wedding. You can hike all around exploring trails, historic buildings, forests of beautiful white trees and rolling hills of vineyards. KK got ready just down the street at her parent’s gorgeous home, while Mike and his boys got ready in the next door cottage. Excitement was building as these two waited to see each other. After an emotional first look with bridal party and family sneaking peeks from the windows above, these two were ready for a ceremony.

Officiant Rev. Peadar Dalton did an awesome job telling the story of these two while sharing the meaning and importance of marriage. The wedding details were beautifully styled and the band (and that espresso bar) kept the party going the entire night! Speeches by friends and family were perfect as they recounted the love they have for these two and how they all agreed that Mike&KK were a perfect compliment for one another.

We couldn’t agree more. These two are such a great fit. We love watching the way they interact and how much excitement and fun they have when they’re together. Mike&KK, we can’t wait to see what your future holds, what other wild adventures you two embark on, and how you continue to love one another until the end of time.

Trentadue Winery Wedding Video – Jason&Deanna’s Wedding Film

Trentadue Winery is located in Geyserville California just outside of Santa Rosa. When first driving into the property, you’ll instantly want to pull out a camera as you see rows and rows of beautiful well-maintained vineyards in the valley next to rolling hills and gorgeous mountains!

When Jason&Deanna met, it was floating along a river together with friends. We loved how their officiant and friend incorporated this metaphor their story. Like marriage, rivers are an adventure. There will be peaceful and calm moments, there may be some unpredictable rapids. But as long as these two are floating side by side, holding tightly onto one another, they can truly make it through anything.

We loved the ceremony from this wedding, it was so intimate and personalized. It told the story of how Jason&Deanna’s relationship came to be, how they love each other now, and the beautiful legacy they’re headed in the future, surrounded by friends and family that support them!

As you can clearly see in their wedding film below, this is a fun bunch of friends to be around. It was all smiles, laughs, crazy dance moves, and some impromptu (and very impressive) musical performances.

Deanna totally shocked Jason with a huge flash mob of friends who had a perfectly choreographed dance. The look on his face was so fun to witness and everyone not dancing had a camera out capturing the moment! Jason surprised her back by rounding up his guys for an acapella performance that rocked the house. Needless to say, this was such a fun love story to capture on film. Chelsey and I had the best of time getting to know these two, their family and friends.

Cheers to the newlyweds, Jason&Deanna! Remember to keep holding onto one another as you float down the river of life 🙂
