Stephen and I made a commitment that every year we would get on the other side of the camera at least once. What better way to do that than to have our own anniversary photos taken!
When planning our Charleston Trip we just couldn’t pass up having an anniversary session there. Charleston is one of the top wedding destination locations in the United States and after photographing our own couple and having our photos taken there, we totally see why!
The reason we’ve made an effort to get in front of the camera is because it’s so important to us that we experience what our couples experience when having their pictures taken. We also want to always remember each year of marriage. To take a break from the hustle and bustle of life and just be together! We always are learning something new about ourselves, about our relationship, and we always are learning new ways to love our couples along the way! From planning our outfits to getting my makeup done, this experience is always a fresh reminder of what our engaged couples go through when planning their ow sessions with us.
Abby is the mastermind behind these amazing photos. I first met her at United, a photography conference that takes place every year. After having lunch together, I soon started following her beautiful work! Abby shoots on film which we love and the location (Legare Waring House at Charles Towne Landing Historic Site) we shot at was so dreamy! What I loved most about our session though was the way Abby was so intentional about asking us questions about our relationship. We talked about how Stephen and I first met, our proposal story, and the daily reward and challenges that come from running your own business together. After our session, the three of us headed out for drinks and ice cream to follow where those conversations continued.
We will always cherish these photos and remember fondly our trip to Charleston!
We look forward to our anniversary photos every year and since making this a tradition ourselves, we love offering them to couples. If you are interested in your own anniversary session captured, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me directly at firstname.lastname@example.org (new email)!
Enjoy some of our favorites from our session with Abby.
