Memorable Monday - November Edition

It feels like we blinked and we’re already in November, where did October go?!?

The leaves are just now starting to change color here in Northern California except the weather is still in the 80’s come mid afternoon! That’s California weather for you, although this is not typical for Chico! We’re looking forward to cooler weather in the next few weeks, traveling to Paris at the end of our wedding season, and spending time with family during the holidays. There has been a lot happening in our home since our last Monthly Memorable Monday and we want to keep you up to date. We’re sharing what’s to come for us as well as what we celebrated in October!

Here’s our Monthly Memorable Monday update!

  • I launched my new home for all our Northern California newborn and lifestyle family sessions. You can check out the site here and can now inquire about a session. It has been such a joy to photograph other important milestones for families as they welcome new babies into their worlds. I have such a new respect for my own mom, the amazing parents we work with. I’m so so grateful for the outpouring of support for this new adventure I’m excited about!

  • Every year, we try to plan at least one weekend camping trip with friends. This year it happened in October and I’m so happy we got away to enjoy the mountains. We went up to a cabin in Alta, about 30 minutes from Grass Valley and about 45 minutes from Lake Tahoe. We spent a lot of our day Saturday hiking up Castle Peak, taking photos of our friends at Donner Lake and exploring the quaint towns in that area. We’ve learned over the years, that no matter how full our schedule may be, it’s always so good to schedule a getaway. As soon as I get my film scans back, I’ll make sure to do a blog post about our adventures!

  • About a week from now we’ll be heading to PARIS!!! We found $300 dollar tickets on Scott’s Cheap flights earlier this year and decided to book a spontaneous trip at the end of our wedding season. We both have never been but are looking forward to having a leisurely vacation together. I’m sure we’ll be sharing lots of behind the scenes on our Instagrams so please make sure to follow along. Also, if you have any must sees or recommendations, please send them our way, we’d love the hear!

  • As we slowly come to an end for the 2018 wedding season, we always reflect on our year. We are so so grateful for our all couples and the families we get to work with! This year has been a dream and the couples we get to work with play a huge role in that! 2019 is about halfway booked up, so do not hesitate to reach out if you’re interested in hearing more about our TréCreative wedding experiences.

  • God has been teaching us a lot about our priorities and we are reminded in this season that people come first. In the last six months, some weeks our schedules have been interrupted by a present need of someone we care about. If I’m totally being honest, if this would have happened several years ago, I would have been stressed and feel like I couldn’t get everything done that I felt like I needed to. This year though, it’s been so fun to step into choosing into those times, and making time for the people we get to love. We want to be always willing to make time and put people first!

Happy November friends!
