Chalet View Lodge Wedding Photos - Ryan&Caitlin

Ryan and Caitlin were married in the mountains up Highway 70 at the most beautiful venue under the Redwoods, Chalet View Lodge. The venue feels like you’re at a retreat center in the mountains and it’s so peaceful. Guests are all welcome to stay in cabins or in the lodge for the weekend making the wedding a fun destination location for everyone.

We have loved getting to know Ryan and Caitlin through their engagement season in the last year. They currently live in Idaho and we met them in Chico for their Fall engagement session almost exactly a year before their wedding date. We had lots in common with these two, like the same height difference, parents who are amazing runners, and a love for the mountains.

Caitlin got ready with all her sweet bridesmaids and family in the lodge right next to the ceremony and reception location. After she slipped into her gorgeous wedding dress, she shared a first look with her dad. Father-daughter moments always seem to make everyone a little extra emotional and I love capturing this for our brides. Caitlin’s sister Mollie mentioned in her speech how much her parents gave her and her sister an amazing upbringing. You could just see the love when Caitlin’s dad saw her for the first time, everyone was in tears!

All the floral arrangements were made by Caitlin’s family friend Pam. She was the same florist that even created the arrangement for her parent’s wedding many years ago. Everything in the clear white tent was breathtaking! I loved how our couple added pops of Fall colors everywhere, red velvet as accents, and a candle light dinner under the stars. All the wedding details were personalized and came together in a breathtaking display!
