Videography Napa California - Winery Life Of The Vine Video

Vineyards always make for phenomenal footage for any project, ask any videographer. This winery was no exception. They reached out to us wanting to construct a film that would showcase the life of their vines in a creative fashion. The concept for the project was to show the life cycle of the vine from planting to pressing, while incorporating a live performance of a cellist from UC Berkeley. The film would be an art piece of the harmony of life, death, and creation.

This was not the first time we have had the pleasure of working with this winery. For the last two years we have driven down to their gorgeous property to make films showcasing featured wines. This project, however, was far more ambitious than the feature films. It took weeks of shot planning and a film schedule that lasted throughout the year. One of the largest challenges with this project was finding a way to transition between the different stages of the vines that felt organic and fluid. Ultimately, we decided to go with a water or ink like transition. We felt that the water-like transitions were ideal because they moved in harmony with the music and lent themselves well to the overall theme of the piece.

In the end we were left with a artistic piece that illustrate the classical life of a vine throughout the year.
