Jake&Nichole grew up in the same area around Chico. At one point, they even went to rival high schools. They currently live in the Bay Area but chose to get married at Jake’s parent's lovely ranch just outside of Chico. So much time and effort was put into transforming an already beautiful property into Jake&Nichole's dream wedding venue, and it was all so worth it!

Together with their families, the couple planted a huge field of wild flowers next to the ceremony location, gardened, strung lights and created and old western bar for guests to enjoy. There were so many personal touches added to their wedding day and details. Jake&Nichole did not shy away from making their wedding their own. Nichole felt most comfortable going bare foot around the property, so she opted to only wear her shoes if her feet started hurting (which never happened). Jake told us about his restored vintage BMW motorcycle and so he took it for a ride over to some epic sunset photos down the street. And they even had their adorable grandmothers be their flower girls. They were so cute and totally embraced their very important role!

Jake&Nichole both wrote each other sweet wedding notes in the morning and opted to not see each other until the ceremony. When Nichole walked down the aisle with her dad, she was grinning from ear to ear and Jake was beyond happy to see her!

This wedding day went off completely without any bumps or stressful moments. We think that says a lot of who Jake&Nichole are. They are family oriented and easy going folks. If you're a relaxed person, chances are you'll put the rest of the people around you at ease just by your presence. Jake&Nichole, you two were a dream to work with and your wedding day was beautiful!
