We have been SO excited to share this film with you all since the day it was filmed. It was New Year's Eve, and Wes&Cassie were ready to celebrate bringing in 2017 with style. New Year's Eve is an exciting time where there's always a fun party to look forward to. This year however, these two had even more reason to be giddy, it was their wedding day!
The commitment to marriage and family are high priorities for these two. They dreamed of creating a day to remember forever. A day where friends and family came from all over to celebrate alongside them. Everyone danced, laughed, cried and raised a glass of champaign to these two, all with ear-to-ear smiles and so much love.
Wes&Cassie are very relaxed and easy going. But that didn't stop them from getting "dressed to the nines" fancy for this New Year's wedding celebration. From Cassie's gorgeous designer wedding gown to Wes's dapper velvet burgundy suit jacket, these two were a stunning pair. Not only that, we had absolutely perfect weather for a winter wedding here in Chico, California. This is not always the case in Northern California where we live, it can get pretty nasty outside during the winter. Lucky for all of us, this day that was not the case. There were rays of sun shining through the redwood grove where we took their first look and portraits. The golden light pouring in was seriously out of a dream!
Now let's just take a second to talk about the jaw-dropping details you'll witness in this wedding film. This wedding was styled perfectly by our friend Carey from The Idea Emporium, who just happens to be Cassie’s new sister-in-law! Whenever we do a wedding with Carey and we're explaining to people who she is or what she does, we just say "see everything cool, amazing, beautiful, etc in this room...yeah, Carey created that." Cassie totally trusted Carey and gave her permission to "have at it". When you give a talented artist permission to have creative freedom like this, it's quite possibly the best decision you can make. Carey did not disappoint and everyone who walked into the reception hall was stunned by the beauty, the attention to detail and the creativity that went into the details. We couldn't be more excited for Wes&Cassie and their new adventure into marriage. We feel truly honored that they invited us to be there for this memorable celebration to capture it all through photography and this wedding film. We hope that through these photos and film that we've captured they'll be reminded of the family and friends that love them so dearly, the amazing amount of fun that was had that night and the love that they will share for a lifetime.
