It’s wild to me that I’m blogging OUR maternity photos today. The last six years of marriage has been filled with so much growth. We are truly different people, in a good way, than when we first got married. We’re more unified, free, better versions of ourselves because of marriage. We were very intentional about when we wanted to start a family and as I look at these photos, I’m filled with gratitude for everything we’ve been through to get us to a place of being joyfully excited to meet our sweet boy.

A few weeks ago at our 26-week mark, we hired an amazingly talented photographer from Livermore to take our maternity photos. Danielle crushed it and we’re in love with every single image!

As any pregnant mom knows, growing a human there are a lot of areas you have to let go of. Letting go of fear of the unknown, letting go of the changes you’ll face and letting go of the way your body changes. As I’ve watched my body grow our sweet boy, I’ve made a conscious effort to thank my body for the changes and speak words of life over it as each day passes. Pregnancy has made me a more grace-filled, softer version of myself and it’s beautiful! As I look at these photos, I see who I am becoming because of the words Stephen speaks over me and because of the way God sees me. We always want our son to know that when it comes to our words we can choose to speak life or death, blessings or curses. We can choose to speak an encouraging truth, or agree with fearful lies. It’s our prayer that as we learn to lead by example, that he to will be a truth-teller, an encourager, and one who brings life and joy to the world through his words!

Thank you again, Danielle, we are forever grateful for these sweet sweet memories. You made me feel beautiful and so lucky to meet this new member of our family!
