Launch Day - Chico Lifestyle Newborn Photographer
Today is launch day around our house! We’ve launched two exciting things today. The first is something specifically for our past and present bride tribe. It’s been on our hearts since the New Year and we’re going live in a private Facebook group this evening with the first installment!
The second venture we’re launching today is for everyone and the reason I’m sharing with you here on the blog! It’s a new space for my lifestyle newborn and family photography we have been offering for the past year. At the start of the year, I began dreaming of ways to continue to love and serve our TréCreative Family we’ve already connected with. I had a big epiphany that the legacy of love we want to help create on a wedding day for our couples doesn’t just start and end there. It continues far after the wedding day. It continues into their families and the little ones they end up raising.
As an artist, I wanted to capture the every fleeting moments that often times happen in the mundane day to day. I wanted to capture these moments for families who believe in this legacy in the same spaces they will be raising their little ones. We’ve been doing this with many past brides, but now are offering this service to the public as well through a brand new website.
To take this adventure a step further, I decided to commit to shooting these sessions entirely on film cameras like the one pictured above. I’ve been experimenting with film for years on our personal work, but I still remember the day I had my first film scans developed, I was hooked.
This type of film photography can capture light, shadows and color unlike any other medium. Living in a world of digital everything and instant gratification, shooting photography on film has been a magical experience that has awakened a new creativity in me. The process of shooting analogue film forces me to slow down, to value every frame.
Above all, I love capturing raw, authentic moments of the deep love and connection a family shares. Slowing down and shooting film allows me to capture intimate glimpses of families that cannot be replicated on digital so for these family sessions we shoot exclusively on medium format film cameras with 120mm film.
We’re excited to share with you the TréCreative Family website today. Click the link below and let me know what you think! If you or a friend you know are looking for family photos, send it their way! Thank you for continuing supporting Stephen and I in our creative journeys, no matter what new adventure we embark on!
