The California wedding venue is in the small town of Graeagle in Northern California. This venue has become a well known destination venue and retreat center and we were so excited to travel there for this wedding. The venue feels like you’re at a retreat center in the mountains and it’s so peaceful. Guests are all welcome to stay in cabins or in the lodge for the weekend making the wedding a fun destination location for everyone.

The snow stuck and we had the perfect winter wonderland session with these two. One thing we love about living in Chico is that you can drive less than hour and be in the mountains and close to snow.

I’m sure they were just as nervous as we were because we barely knew how to pose someone let along make them feel comfortable in front of the camera. To take it back even further, they were our first couple friends when we both started dating in high school. We’d go on adventures, double dates and dream about life post-high school. They were both in our wedding, we photographed their engagement and wedding.

2018 has been such a big year for them. They both graduated from college, started their careers, got engaged, planned a wedding and are now married! Wow! That is no small feat for one year…but it just shows what amazing strength and community these two have rallying around them.
