When your foundation is built on solid ground, no rainstorm, natural disaster or unplanned life events can shake you.

Mason and Holly have just that, a foundation built on solid love and trust. Regardless of the many unforeseen events leading up to their wedding day, they have faced it, hand in hand, unshaken.

What a beautiful wedding to kick off the start to our 2019 wedding season. We’re honored to know these two and can’t wait to see the lifetime of joy they have ahead of them.

This wedding was extremely special to us for a number of reasons. Stephan and I were married at Patrick Ranch here in Chico nearly six years ago to the date as Mason and Holly. Whenever we’re back it always brings back to many emotions and we fall in love with this gorgeous property all over again. Holly got ready with her amazing bridesmaids at Hotel Diamond with a fantastic glam squad of women making sure everyone looked their best before pictures began.

From there, we headed to Patrick Ranch where the team from CES and Cambray Rose were transforming the property into a dream wedding venue. What you can’t tell from these photos unless you look extra close is that is was actually pouring the entire morning of the wedding. It dumped rain right when Holly started putting on her wedding dress before the first look. We knew the weather would soon pass but as a bride, it can be a little unnerving to hear thunder on your wedding day. These two had already been through the unthinkable with the Campfire back in November, so this bit of weather acting up didn’t seem to phase them.

By the time portraits began, the weather was looking hopeful and then miraculously, it completely stopped raining. To make things even better, Mason and Holly have the most adorable golden puppy Penny who joined us for a few photos before meeting up with the rest of the bridal party. I loved the light and neutral color palette that these two chose for their wedding. It was perfectly coordinated and beautiful to photograph. We had light cloud coverage for their wedding ceremony and the most amazing sunset portrait time.

As photographers and videographers, we love all the pretty details and thought that goes into creating an experience for you to relive but also your guests to enjoy. Beyond, that, we want to create timeless art that will spark a memory or a connection with those who love you and that will live on far beyond the wedding day. Mason and Holly thought this through while planning and we loved being able to capture this for them!
