Toby&Jessica planned an amazing Canyon Oaks Country Club wedding filled with elegant details and memorable moments.

Toby&Jessica met when they were in junior high. They both grew up in the small town of Colusa and Jessica caught Toby's eye at an early age. Toby asked Jessica out to their middle school dance in November of 2004 and they have been together ever since! What an amazing love story! This wedding has been 12 years in the making! A month before Toby&Jesscia's country club wedding, I asked Jessica at what point in their dating relationship did she know she wanted to marry Toby. She said she had known since high school that he was the one! Cue the tears and get me a tissue box, these two are so adorable and Toby's proposal was just as sweet!

In preparation for Jessica graduating from the nursing program at Chico State, she scheduled to have her senior portraits taken. Toby surprised her at the end of the session by getting down on one knee asking Jessica to say yes. With tears streaming down, she said yes and the couple headed to Crush where Toby had made reservations for their already amazing night to continue!

Toby&Jessica were married at Canyon Oaks on a beautiful day in October that was forecasted to rain during all their portraits and the majority of the day. The amazing team at Canyon Oaks and CES began setting up for "plan B" to ensure guests would stay dry. Jessica emailed us the week of the wedding expressing her concern about the rain like any bride would do. We totally assured her that we could handle any weather condition that comes our way and that she was in good hands. We showed up on the wedding day and Jessica was so calm and peaceful! No bride wants rain on their wedding day, but these two handled the unknowns so well! When we got out of the car, we prayed that the rain would completely hold up for all their wedding portraits. Our prayers were totally answered! The rain held off right until the ceremony started under a white tent that kept everyone dry! Besides a few light sprinkles during bridal party photos, we were able to take all their portraits, including most family formals with NO rain! When we brought Jessica outside to meet Toby for their first look. They both were in tears and it was such a special moment to capture! We sped through portraits a little quicker than normal just in case the rain decided to start but it never did and we were to able get so many great shots of these two to remember this day. We appreciated how Toby&Jessica took our direction and totally rocked their wedding portraits!

Toby&Jessica, your love story is so inspiring! Your commitment to each other is a beautiful picture of what love should look like through any change or new season! For you two, your love has developed and matured as you two have changed and grown into the beautiful people you are today. Never stop growing together through all the challenges and changes life throws at you! You are inspiring!
