Chico Engagement Photographer - Ryan&Charlotte
The photo options in Bidwell Park are always endless. Each time we adventure around the park with our couples, especially for an engagement session, we always find new favorite locations! Fall always seems to hit Chico towards the end of October, early November which is exactly when we planned Ryan&Charlotte's fall session.
Ryan and Charlotte met while attending Chico State. Ryan is the brother of our past bride Dani and is good friends with Casey her husband. Casey was always wanting to set Ryan up with Charlotte and I'm sure on the wedding day, Casey will say something to the sorts of "I called it from the beginning"!
After graduating from Chico State, Charlotte moved to Napa to complete an internship. This meant Ryan and her relationship would be spent doing long distance until Ryan completes school this December. Their weekends are often times traveling to see one another, going on adventures and relaxing together. One of those weekend get-togethers, Ryan got down on one knee and proposed! Soon after, Casey&Dani were there to celebrate the newly engaged couple!
Ryan was the one who reached out to us about photographing their wedding next Summer. They had literally just gotten engaged a few hours before calling us wanting to find out dates that we were available. We were totally honored! They picked their date around our summer availability and the venue's open dates. This doesn't always happen but we feel super lucky to be one of the first to hear the news! We fell in love with the sweet Sarge family when Casey&Dani got married and now we are excited to meet Charlotte's family as well!
It had forecasted to potentially rain on Ryan&Charlotte's engagement session so plans changed a few different times to ensure Charlotte's trip to Chico would include taking engagement photos one way or another. The rain held off just perfectly and we had the most even, lightly overcast lighting to shoot in! Ryan&Charlotte were total naturals in front of the camera and we are confident their wedding portraits will be a complete breeze!
Ryan&Charlotte, thank you for being flexible with crazy weather forecasts and trusting us completely with your photos! It is so clear how much you care and cherish each other! We pray your engagement season would be filled with blessing and eager anticipation for becoming husband and wife!
