Rick and Courtney first met on a blind date in Southern California. They went snorkeling together in Laguna Beach. Fast forward, 5 years later Rick took Courtney back to that same spot and proposed right after Thanksgiving. They dating relationship has been full of adventure. These two love spending time in the outdoors and kayaking all over Sacramento.

When we initially Skyped with them, they had already expressed that they had thought about engagement photos and had great locations in mind. We could have easily done their whole photo session at one of the amazing three locations they chose, they were each just that good!

It is along the wine trail that Courtney and her mom stumbled upon Vina Castellano where we took their engagement photos at. Vina Castellano is an award-winning boutique winery in Placer Country run by the sweetest Spanish family who we had the pleasure of meeting while exploring around the property. Chris&Courtney met us there and we started our session with a delicious glass of award-winning wine. Chris&Courtney walked hand in hand exploring the property with us and we ended the session with the most beautiful sunset with light glowing through the big oak trees.

San Francisco is well known for the iconic Golden Gate Bridge pictured below and all around that area are amazing scenic views that showcase the shoreline and amazing cityscape. Baker Beach is one of those locations that is perfect for watching the sunset while enjoying the beauty of the Bay Area.

Tim&Amanda met shortly after graduating high school. On a summer night, they just so happened to be attending the same Miranda Lambert concert where their friend groups crossed paths. Even though they both grew up in small towns with rival high schools just outside of Chico and had some of the same friends, they had never met. A few weeks later, through Instagram, they exchanged numbers and soon went on their first date. Throughout dating, they've put their faith first and are so excited to get married on Tim's grandparent's property out in Orland next year!

Read MoreMiles and Bailey are from California and will be getting married in Sacramento this December. They recently moved to Chicago from Arizona for Bailey’s clinical rotation. That’s a huge climate change but it was such a treat for us to escape Chico’s hot summer days for a weekend in Chicago. This is the second time we’ve traveled to Chicago for a destination engagement session and we absolutely love this city! The views are breathtaking and the city is so walkable. Not to mention the world famous deep dish pizza we indulged in after their photo session. It’s a must visit for us again!
Read MoreThey met us at Gover Ranch, one of our favorite venues in Northern California for weddings or engagement photos. The ranch also happens to be about ten minutes from where the couple will be getting married later this year. The spot was reminiscent of where Tosha grew up so she felt right at home. The session started out looking a little gloomy but the clouds soon cleared and we had the perfect sunset to enjoy. We walked all around the property getting to know these two and hearing more about their upcoming wedding plans.

For Jeffrey&Natalie’s engagement session, we met them at Natalie’s childhood home. This also happens to be the next door neighbors to the venue they will be having their wedding reception at next year, Patrick Ranch Museum. That’s also the same venue Stephen and I got married at but we’ve never done an engagement session on the property before. Between Natalie’s parent’s gorgeous property and Patrick Ranch’s iconic locations, we had so many beautiful spots for engagement photos.
