Destination Elopement in Oneonta Gorge Triple Falls, Oregon - Alex&Molly

People ask us all the time, what's the craziest wedding you've ever shot? Now we have an answer for them (crazy in a good way)! For this elopement, we all hiked through the Oneonta Gorge - Triple Falls with all our gear, waded through chest deep water so cold it knocked the wind out of you, and climbed over a slippery log jam to reach the ceremony spot. Was it worth it?? 100% YES! Once we arrived at the epic waterfall at the end of the gorge, it was breathtaking, a perfect spot for an adventurous couple's wedding ceremony!

Alex&Molly were the perfect couple for a wild elopement like this. They have fun, laughter-filled, and adventurous spirts. This destination elopement ceremony was extra special because it was not only the joining of two wonderful people, it signified the uniting of their family with their daughter. They had rings for each other, but also a ring for her to remember the day.

If you're ever in the Portland, Oregon area, this is definitely a hike to check out. The area is drop dead gorgeous, as you can see in some of those aerial overview shots we grabbed with the drone. Right down the road from the famous Multnomah Falls, is the somewhat hidden entrance to this gorge. You hike down some stairs and you're in. Overall, the hike isn't too strenuous, the distance to the falls is not far, it's the journey there that has it's obstacles. From climbing over logs to wading through the water, this hike is an experience that's exciting and exhilarating, especially when you're doing it with camera gear! As you get closer to the falls, the lush green walls of the gorge tower above and it truly feels out of this world.

We had a blast hanging out with Alex&Molly for the day. They're from the East Coast but decided to do something different when it came to their wedding. They found the spot online and thought it would be perfect for a destination elopement trip. They were right and we're so honored they brought us along for the adventure to capture it through photos and the film below!
