Ryan and Caitlin were married in the mountains up Highway 70 at the most beautiful venue under the trees, Chalet View Lodge. The California wedding venue is in the small town of Graeagle in Northern California. This venue has become a well known destination venue and retreat center and we were so excited to travel there for this wedding. The venue feels like you’re at a retreat center in the mountains and it’s so peaceful. Guests are all welcome to stay in cabins or in the lodge for the weekend making the wedding a fun destination location for everyone.

The leaves are just now starting to change color here in Northern California except the weather is still in the 80’s come mid afternoon! That’s California weather for you, although this is not typical for Chico! We’re looking forward to cooler weather in the next few weeks, traveling to Paris at the end of our wedding season, and spending time with family during the holidays. There has been a lot happening in our home since our last Monthly Memorable Monday and we want to keep you up to date. We’re sharing what’s to come for us as well as what we celebrated in October!

The wedding took place overlooking the cliffs and had the most spectacular views. Like most of our personal work, we only brought our medium format film camera. This time in particular, we chose only to shoot on our new Hasselblad so I could get used to using it faster for our newborn sessions. This camera is super fun as it’s all manual, has no batteries or anything. It shoots in a unique 6x6 square format which is fun and creatively challenging.
We are always excited when our couples opt to get a wedding album because we believe wedding photos were never meant to just live on your computer!

Tré&Brittany are amazing and kind people. They met while attending school in our hometown at Chico State. Fate had them placed in the same dorm. Brittany had just moved to Chico from growing up in Southern California and Tré from a tiny town Yreka just north of Chico. Although they met as freshman college students, it wasn't until the senior year that Tré moved into the apartment below Brittany and they became friends. They soon started spending a lot of time together and really enjoying each other's company. After a year of just being friends, they spent a few weeks apart from each other. After Brittany's parents dropped her off in Chico again, she went straight to see Tré. It was then that Brittany realized how much she truly cared for Tré.
