Jessie&Aaron's Winter Wedding at Lakeside Pavillion - Wedding Videography in Chico

After a long and dry summer drought, the skies opened up and Chico was bombarded with rain! It was the first week of January and these two were planning the celebration of a lifetime. According to the forecast, rain was inevitable. Luckily, Aaron&Jessie had planned ahead and chose the perfect venue for a wet winter day, Lakeside Pavilion. With so many outdoor venue options in Chico, weddings can run into issues if the clouds overhead decide to downpour...but not at Lakeside! The ceremony was set up inside with guests seated at their reception tables, comfy and dry! We snuck these two outside under a nearby covering for a little privacy and natural light during their first look and portraits. They were troopers and no amount of rain could spoil this day. We heard it from so many people, during speeches, and in conversations. These two just mesh, they are perfect for one another. It was so fun to hear about their history when Aaron's mom dug out a love letter from back in high school! What made this day extra special was it was on the anniversary of their first kiss.

One of our favorite parts of the day was when the officiant had everyone in the audience stand. He explained how he was a fan of baseball and how at baseball games, if the home team is down, they will get the crowd to just scream and yell, showing their support. Sometimes this is all the team needs to boost their moral and finish the game strong. During the wedding ceremony he had everyone in the audience stand, and on the count of three, they went wild! Aaron&Jessie stood there with their eyes closed and just felt the immense love that surrounded them from all angles. Just hearing the size and depth of the crowd, full of family and friends that were rooting for team Aaron&Jessie, it was such a powerful moment.

After dating for some years, Aaron was ready to propose. It was Christmas day and he planned a sweet surprise in Upper Bidwell park for Jessie. When the arrived on the scene, Jessie totally thought it was for someone else and started snapchatting the details. When she turned around Aaron had a GoPro recording as he popped the question, so cute! We love the energy these two bring to a room, they are lighthearted and always cracking jokes. The way they love and care for one another is inspiring and we're so glad we were able to capture a glimpse of their love story through a wedding video.
