Northern California Engagement Photos - Adam&Samantha

Adam and Samantha met us just outside of Sacramento for their Northern California engagement photos with us.

These two grew up in the small town of East Nicolaus just outside of Sacramento. They dated in high school but went their separate ways in college until reconnecting again. Small towns have a way of bringing people back together at the right time and place and that totally was true for Adam and Samantha.

This is actually the third time Samantha has been in front of our lens. Samantha's sister Lydnsey contacted us several Christmas's ago to do family photos as a surprise gift for their parents. Shortly after, Lyndsey was engaged and Samantha was one of her beautiful bridesmaids. Lyndsey actually sent me a message the same week that her sister was getting engaged to make sure we still had openings in 2018 for her sister. Within a day of Adam and Samantha getting engaged, Samantha had sent us a message wanting TréCreative to be a part of their amazing wedding day next Spring. We're extremely honored to be doing another one of this family's weddings and that we were first on their list to contact as soon as they got engaged!

Although we felt like we knew Samantha, we had such an amazing time getting to know Adam and Samantha as a couple at their engagement session. We set out at sunset time around the property these two will be living on soon (and that Adam farms). The dock you'll see at the end of the blog post is the same spot that Adam proposed! Two facts we learned at this session. The sunset lighting in the orchards is so amazing, especially on Adam's family property. The light was so glowy and perfect for engagement photos. Two, Adam is hilarious! He makes Samantha laugh in ways no one could and we loved seeing them interact together.

Engagement photos can serve for a number of purposes. They can be used as "Save the Dates" for our couples. They also give Stephen and I a chance to build trust with our couples and to ensure that on their wedding day, it's not the first time we're photographing them. We want to create memories for our couples and engagement sessions are such a fun way to start doing that! We hope these memories serve as something to remember and remanence about. The season of life they shared before being married. Often times big milestones are captured, but we also love capturing the seasons in between too. We're so thankful to get to do all three of these things for Adam and Samantha!
