Patrick Ranch Museum Wedding Photographer - Jeff&Katie
We're pretty sure "sore smile syndrome" is a real thing, especially after spending the day with Jeff&Katie at their Patrick Ranch Museum wedding. These two love to laugh together and at their wedding, everyone was grinning from ear to ear with so much excitement!
Jeff&Katie credit three brilliant friends (you can see these three later in the post) for bringing them together. Katie was told to come to an after-work outing to meet someone. Unfortunately the entire night, Jeff and Katie didn't end up sitting very close to each other and the atmosphere was very noisy to even try to talk across the table. Katie didn't want to get her hopes up, but after the group decided to part ways for the night, Jeff hung back to keep the door open for Katie like the gentleman that he is. They enjoyed three blocks together as they walked the street and that was enough to perk Katie's interest. Jeff called Katie the next day and officially asked her out.
Their first date consisted of drinks, which turned into dinner. Hours later, they found themselves both still fully immersed in great conversation with each other. The dates kept coming and soon they began to entertain thoughts of a future together. Jeff and Katie are quite adventurous and love having a good time together, whether that's with their amazing families or close friends. So naturally, Jeff proposed on a trip to Yosemite three years later.
While Jeff&Katie currently live in San Francisco, Katie is from Chico and so it seemed fitting that the couple opted to get married in her hometown. The girls got ready at Katie's childhood home with all her lovely bridesmaids, mom, and little niece. While Katie was off getting ready, Jeff prepared closer to Patrick Ranch at a hotel with his groomsmen. From there the bride and groom headed to the wedding venue for their first look followed by portraits.
Their wedding ceremony took place on the front lawn facing the historic style home. After their vows were shared and rings exchanged, the couple kissed and the crowd went wild! Jeff&Katie were grinning from ear to ear. Cocktail hour took place on the back patio with signature cocktails and amazing picture worthy hors-d'oeuvres from Bacio Catering Company. Big Farm style tables were lined under an elegant white tent where dinner was served family style. The details around Patrick Ranch that Jeff&Katie dreamt up were SO beautiful! Jeff even brought his vintage Jeep down as our photobooth backdrop. Amazing speeches were given and one in particular by Katie's childhood friend Megan who even rapped part of her speech wowed the crowd. In between tears and laughter, these speeches kept everyone on their toes.
After dinner, the couple went right into their first dance followed by an amazing live band from Sacramento. Everyone was on the dance floor together all night long!
Jeff&Katie are our kind of people. They have been such a joy to work with and getting to meet their families, it is so clear why they are such exceptional people. Both of their parents have done such an amazing job instilling these family values that Jeff&Katie cherish so much. Their wedding decor, theme and feel was timeless and beautiful and we were so happy to play a role in capturing it all!
