March is a particularly special month for Stephen and I and now for Josiah&Hanna too! We both share an anniversary in the same month and we have both experienced the most amazing beautiful Spring weather we can talk about for years to come! Josiah&Haana were married at the end of Lower Bidwell Park at Creekside Rose Garden with a few hundred of their closest friends and family!

When we met Josiah, he was a high schooler in the youth group we helped out with at church and Stephen and Josiah were able to get close over the years. After he graduated, he met Hanna in college and it’s so clear to see how these two are such a perfect match for one another! He's the first of our old high school students to get married. It makes us feel a little old but we feel so lucky to have gotten to spend the day with them and capture these wedding memories!

Hanna got ready with all ten of her amazing bridesmaids at Hotel James in Chico. We always suggest to our brides to have good natural light in their rooms for photos and Hotel James did not disappoint! These ten sweet bridesmaids were Hanna's cheering squad while she got into her dress. Her girls squealed and laughed as Hanna slipped into her amazing dress before heading to see Josiah. We could have spent all day alone with them and their amazing bridal party because they were just so energetic and positive to be around.

Josiah&Hanna's first look is one we will always remember. There were a few tears that were shed but more than anything, their excitement for their wedding grew as we moved into portraits in Lower Bidwell Park. After portraits concluded, it was time to get these two married. A mentor and friend of the couple, Josh officiated their wedding ceremony. He explained how these two met in a bible study that Hanna was helping lead. Josiah is a little bit younger than Hanna and she was worried her sophomore girls might get distracted by Josiah's good looks. Little did she know that she would be the one falling hard for him soon.

We love how goofy and full of life Josiah&Hanna are. They both share a desire to love and serve others around them. When Stephen and I were dating, we had someone much older and wiser than us say, "you want to marry someone that makes you better and that together you can accomplish more". Josiah&Hanna have truly found that. Their strengths complement each other and we believe they make a great team! In Hanna's vows, she ended with a quote from C.S. Lewis that I think is so powerful. It says "When I have learned to love God better than my earthly dearest I shall love my earthly dearest better than I do now."

Josiah&Hanna, it's our prayer for you that you would learn to love God more than each other so that you can love each other even better!
