New Year's Eve Butte Creek Country Club Wedding Photos - Wes&Cassie

Wes&Cassie took the word celebration to a whole new level when they planned a New Year's Eve wedding at Butte Creek Country Club here in Chico!

The couple met at a mutual friends wedding. Wes grew up and lived for most of his life in Illinois before moving to California for a new job opportunity. Cassie grew up in California and at the perfect time these two crossed paths. They danced the night away together and hit it off perfectly! Having a New Year's Eve wedding filled with dance moves until the clock struck midnight was the perfect way for these two to start out their adventure as husband and wife! Besides having some pretty killer dance moves, their wedding showcased beautiful details styled perfectly by our friend Carey from The Idea Emporium who just happens to be Cassie's new sister-in-law! Cassie got ready at her mom's home with her soon-to-be new sisters, best friends and aunt. Cassie is good friends with two of our past brides Tegan and Heidi who also happened to be in the wedding party! Butte Creek Country Club has a variety of photo locations but for Wes&Cassie they have always loved Redwoods and lucky for us the grounds have several Redwood groves with the perfect lighting for portraits! Because Wes&Cassie's wedding ceremony was going to take place after the sun went down, a first look for natural light portraits was a must!

After photos were taken, we headed indoors to capture all the jaw-dropping details including the velvet linens from La Tavola! These linens were amazing and so pretty to photograph with all the gold and blue accents! Because it was a New Year's Eve wedding, clocks were placed on each guest table representing different time zones which would count down to the new year. Throughout the night, when their clocks would strike midnight, guests would celebrate and blow noisemakers!

Tears were shared as both Cassie's mom and brother talked during toasts about the passing of their dad and how he would be so proud of Cassie! Cassie has a strong and confident character and Wes comes right alongside to enhance her joy and beauty! Wes is a steady rock that Cassie can lean on. When Stephen and I were getting married, we were told some great advice that is totally true for Wes&Cassie! This older gentleman shared with us that you should marry someone who makes you a better person, marry someone who brings the best out of you. Watching Wes&Cassie, hearing about the way their friends and closest family talk about them, you truly know they bring out the best in each other!

Right before midnight, the couple poured champagne over their tower of glasses and kissed to bring in the new year! Wes&Cassie, thank you for trusting us with your wedding memories! We wouldn't want to spend our New Year's any other way than celebrating alongside you and your amazing guests! We wish you all the happiness and joy in the world this new year and all to come!
