Jake&Nichole met us in Chico and together the four of us drove up to Butte Meadows for their engagement session. This location holds a special place in both Jake&Nichole's hearts. They spent many summer months tromping through the woods together, looking under the stars, and going on lots of adventures in the area near their family cabins. It was in a similar setting in the woods where Jake eventually proposed to Nichole. We love that these two chose a special spot to have their photos taken. To us, that makes them that much more meaningful! The scenery in the mountains is always breathtaking. We started near a meadow around the old Inn in Butte Meadows and then ventured down the hill into the forest along the creek. We even got some fall colors alongside the road. It's amazing what you can find if your willing to just pull off to the side of the road and explore!

Friends thought they would be a perfect fit and after trying to get these two to cross paths, it finally happened. They were set up on a blind date and it totally worked out! What great co-workers and friends these two have!

It wasn't until they were half way around the world that they met and started adventuring through life together. Most of their dating years were spent apart as they were both pursuing careers and big dreams in different countries. Although they are not currently living overseas, their adventures with for sure continue and now they will always have each other by their side. No more long goodbyes or Skype dates!

Parker&Lauren were married just South of Big Sur on a cliffside also known as Point Sixteen which overlooks the Pacific Ocean. It was a perfectly clear day and the view was magnificent!
Read MoreJohn&Megan met in the fire academy at Butte College. Megan is our kind of bride! She is totally relaxed, and soaked in the whole day as each event unveiled. John is straight up hilarious! He keeps Megan's gorgeous smile on all day long. There were several moments throughout the day where it was hard for us to not put down our cameras and just laugh hysterically with our couple! The first incident was when John saw Megan at the first look. As soon as he laid eyes on her he let out a yell that even the bridesmaids heard back at the getting ready house! Then there was the impromptu dance parties John and his groomsmen enjoyed together at random times throughout the day. There was never a dull moment at this Gover Ranch wedding and we loved spending our day with these two!
Read MoreJustin&Courtney live in the heart of the city. Within walking distance from any place you could possibly think of wanting to go in Chicago! We love that part about the city. They flew us out for their engagement session and graciously took us to several local spots. It was a great little tour as we walked around the city for their engagement photos. We went from the historic Kinzie Bridge to Lincoln Park and a few other locations that provided a spectacular view of Chicago's skyline. Justin&Courtney met online and soon fell in love. Being in the wedding industry, we have definitely seen this as common with so many of our couples these days! We give online dating a double thumbs up! Especially for bringing together amazing matches like Justin&Courtney. From there, Justin would later propose in Boulder, CO in Chautauqua Park. Chautauqua Park is simply breathtaking and after Justin got down on one knee, Courtney said yes and took off to planning their destination wedding! We can't wait to photograph these two next year in Mexico and meet some of their closest friends and family.

After high school, we ran into each other several times at our gym and she soon sent us a message saying she was engaged! We always love hearing how our couples meet and as soon as we sat down with these two we just had to ask them. This story was also shared at their wedding ceremony and so we thought it was fitting to share with you!
