A few weeks ago we had the honor of photographing an amazing proposal in downtown Sacramento. We had been contacted by Ben and soon heard about his amazing plan to surprise his girlfriend. Alana loves the holidays. She loves this season for many reasons including spending extended time with family and going ice skating on the very rink Ben was planning on proposing. We had the date and time set and so excited to be in on this amazing surprise.

Stephen and I had been up the week prior for our annual Christmas Tree adventures and I was hoping the snow would stick until the next week for these photos. The snow stuck and we had the perfect winter wonderland session with these two. One thing we love about living in Chico is that you can drive less than hour and be in the mountains and close to snow.

We started their session on a bike path near Old Town Sacramento and the Tower Bridge. This tandem bike they rode together has so much character! We probably made them ride up and down the path what seemed like a million times to make sure we had gotten the perfect shots of this bike in action.
