Christmas Tree Adventures // Butte Meadows 2017

Christmas at the TréCrib doesn’t seem complete until we head about 45 minutes up Highway 32 to our favorite woodsy Christmas Tree area near Butte Meadows. This will be our fourth year in a row driving up with friends for this grand adventure! Our Christmas Tree Adventures in Butte Meadows always consists of getting all bundled up, packing into four-wheel drive cars and heading deep into the woods to find the perfect Christmas Trees for our homes. This year was yet another huge success!!

Butte Meadows Christmas Tree Hunting 2016 - Memorable Monday

Since we’ll be leaving for Panama in less than two weeks, Stephen insisted our tree be TINY. If it were up to me, our tree would be MASSIVE. We compromised and both agreed as long as the tree was the same height as me, we could get it For many Chico natives, going up to cut down their own tree is a tradition! Butte Meadows is a tiny town about 30 minutes away in the mountains. In the winter time, there’s usually snow and many flock to the area to cut down the perfect tree!

Memorable Monday - Fall Camping Trip 2016

It’s very rare during the Fall to have a weekend off. When weekends like this come up we like to take full of this advantage and do something out of the ordinary to unplug.

Seattle Washington Weekend Get Away

If you follow Stephen or I on Instagram you may have seen photos of me frolicking through Tulip fields, or us piled on the coach with a cute pup! Well a friend of ours had briefly mentioned that for a short time, Southwest Airlines was selling cheap tickets all over the country, so we jumped on the opportunity and headed somewhere fun!

Memorable Monday - A Weekend Away!

Over the weekend we flew up to Seattle to visit one of Stephen's childhood friends from Wheaton. We're currently snuggled up on their comfy coach with their adorable golden doodle in sight as we write this post. This installment of Memorable Monday will be short and sweet because we want to get back to snuggling Rigby and spending the our last day with our friends! Don't worry, we'll do a full blog post of our Seattle trip later on this week :D
