Over their engagement process, we always try to get to know our couples on a personal level. One of the ways we do that is at an engagement session. As we were taking those photos, we were talking about the importance of setting time aside and making date night a priority. Jason and Rachel expressed how they would do this almost every night and make sure they were on the same page as each other. They would go on walks and talk about their day! Those are such important patterns to get into before your married and it was inspiring for us to watch.Read More
We met Mason&Holly in Upper Park Chico for their engagement photo session this Spring. After having some serious rain showers for a few days, Bidwell Park is so lush and green right now. When we're at weddings, at church, or out and about in the community, people always seem intrigued that we’re able to work together as husband and wife team. That we're able to enjoy what we do, and not totally kill each other.
Early in our marriage, I was shocked that so many people had this viewpoint of working with their spouse. The longer I’ve been married, the more realization of how rare this can be done well. Marriage is hard enough by itself, and yet adding a working partner can cause even more complications.
It’s that time of year again for us. Its where we share with you the behind the scenes of what it looks like to be a wedding photographer and videographer team. This post will include the good, the bad, and the sometimes the ugly expressions that get caught on camera throughout the wedding day. If you missed last year’s behind the scenes blog post, make sure to check that one out as well, it’s totally worth it!Read More
