Over their engagement process, we always try to get to know our couples on a personal level. One of the ways we do that is at an engagement session. As we were taking those photos, we were talking about the importance of setting time aside and making date night a priority. Jason and Rachel expressed how they would do this almost every night and make sure they were on the same page as each other. They would go on walks and talk about their day! Those are such important patterns to get into before your married and it was inspiring for us to watch.

Our favorite time of the evening for these photo sessions is catching our beautiful California sun flare close to sunset. Upper Park during this time of year is peaceful.

Early in our marriage, I was shocked that so many people had this viewpoint of working with their spouse. The longer I’ve been married, the more realization of how rare this can be done well. Marriage is hard enough by itself, and yet adding a working partner can cause even more complications.
You might recognize Mike and Veronica from their breathtaking Napa Vintage Estates Wedding. Fast forward almost three years and they just welcomed a beautiful baby girl into their family. We met them at their gorgeous home in San Francisco for their newborn film photography session.

Pageo Farms is a working farm that grows and sells lavender for handmade products but opens it’s doors to weddings as well. The property has the perfect layout and flow for guests to enjoy. These two used that greenery as decoration inspiration for their wedding decor. Olivia has great style and we loved the colors she chose for her wedding bouquet!
