January has been such an exciting month for us around the #trecrib. We’ve had a lot of intentional time with family friends along with quality time spent at home. We’re both launching new and exciting things. Some have to do with our wedding photography and videography business and some we’re seeing more as passion projects. Stay tuned, we’ll be announcing everything in waves!
Read MoreThis time last year, we were in Panama for Stephen’s sister’s wedding. It was one we will never forget. Happy one year anniversary Jovanni&Laura! Although we loved traveling to Panama for a break from the cold weather here in Chico, we’re loving being home this year for Christmas. We’ve been enjoying bundling up, having to put on boots and sweatshirts as we go out of the house. Our favorite place to work from at home during this time of year is in our family room. We sit together on the comfiest couch imaginable right in front of the fire sipping on our coffee in the morning.

Most of our close friends are already married so there haven’t been many friends weddings we’re participating in lately. Being in the wedding industry for almost six years now, attending as a “guest” feels a little funny. Let us explain!
Read MoreThe Holidays are some of our favorite times of year spent with each other and our families. That often means for us, less travel, fewer meals out and more time at home. Since purchasing our home, we affectionally call the TreCrib, we've been the ones hosting both our families the last two years. After a lot of travel these past few weeks, my mom stepped up and mention her interest in hosting this year. As much as we love hosting people in our home, it was perfect to just show up with our food contribution in hand and just enjoy the company.
Read MoreWe've heard it said that October is to Photographers what April is to Accountants. This is totally true, Fall time is always so busy for us. That's when we schedule most of our following year's engagement photo sessions, book commercials for the Winter and have most of our meetings for next year's potential weddings. There always seems to be a lot of traveling to be had these Fall months as well. We're grateful for the busyness but excited to "slow down" during the holidays. For those that run their own business, you know there really isn't a "slow season". Just a less busy season where our focus shifts from weddings every weekend. For us, we always like to use that time to dream and evaluate the systems and workflows we have in place.

Read MoreWhen September hits, I mentally think that means Fall weather should be right around the corner. Do you do the same thing? Usually, that desire for cooler weather, all things pumpkin and going to Apple Hill really doesn’t get fulfilled until later in September or even October. Chico’s summer weather tends to linger around so until that cool weather actually hits, keep sending us those Autumn vibes!
Read MoreAugust is coming to a close which means we’ll be gearing up for another full Fall filled with lots of weddings and engagements. The Autumn time of year in California and specifically in Chico where we live is especially beautiful. Chico is filled with trees that all change colors to bright yellows, oranges, and reds.
