Caitlin grew up just a town over from Chico and has always loved the look of Upper Bidwell Park right near Monkey Face. Fall colors are always so beautiful to photograph, but there is something so unique about the tall grass in Upper Park. The area's Caitlin mentioned for photos, just so happened to be some of our own personal favorite locations in Chico.
Read MoreThe Holidays are some of our favorite times of year spent with each other and our families. That often means for us, less travel, fewer meals out and more time at home. Since purchasing our home, we affectionally call the TreCrib, we've been the ones hosting both our families the last two years. After a lot of travel these past few weeks, my mom stepped up and mention her interest in hosting this year. As much as we love hosting people in our home, it was perfect to just show up with our food contribution in hand and just enjoy the company.

The park stretches through the heart of Chico and is pretty much any photographer's dream because it has endless photo locations. It's especially beautiful for engagement photography sessions! With all the weather and season changes the colors in the park are stunning. With Bidwell practically in our backyard, we take advance of this gorgeous location whenever possible!

Read MoreIt has been a whirlwind for us these last few weeks, to say the least! Stephen went to a convention in Minnesota, came home and then we hosted the Vivify Workshop in the Bay Area. From there we went to a marriage retreat in Chico, then that night we packed up for our destination wedding in Puerto Vallarta Mexico. After returning home for a few days, I jumped onto another airplane off to the East Coast for the annual Pursuit Retreat in North Carolina. While sometimes back to back travel can be exhausting, we are so thankful for this job that allows us to travel not only for work but amazing retreats and getaways like I was able to do last week.

Read MoreJason&Rachel met in Chico while going to college here. Their first date was to Mom's, a very popular breakfast spot here in Chico. Since that restaurant is extremely special to them, it will be the same catering place that will be serving their wedding guests next year. Stephen and I also love breakfast and has become our favorite meal to go on a date to. We love that Jason&Rachel share this in common with us and think it's so great that they are including this special date into their wedding theme for guests to enjoy. Now every time we go to breakfast, we'll be thinking about Jason&Rachel and the first date they had together.
Read MoreKasey is from Chico where our home base is and attended Chico State while being a student-athlete on the track team. She went to Chico High just like me (go Panthers) and was an incredible athlete in high school as well. It was at Chico State that she met Adam. Adam was a decathlete on the track team and it was there that they began dating. After graduating from Chico State, they both moved to the Bay Area for their careers and to continue their love story together!

After meeting Michael, it's so very clear how these two are meant to be together. Earlier this Spring, Stephen and I traveled to Atlanta, where these two have been living for the last few years, for their destination engagement session. We had a little taste of how incredible their wedding would be based on the few hours we spent together on that trip.
