In the photography and videography industry, there’s a term often used for the day after a wedding. It’s called the wedding photographer “hangover”. This has nothing to do with any alcohol, it just means in the morning after a full wedding day you move a little slower and feel the many miles of walking from the day before! Even with this feeling the day after a wedding, we wouldn’t trade it for the world, we absolutely love what we do.

The venue in near Santa Rosa in the valley but surrounded by beautiful mountains. When scheduling their engagement session, Clearlake was in between Chico and their home in the Bay Area so it was just perfect! The area has many outdoor hiking trails and of course the gorgeous lake that brings many from all over for summer vacationing and outdoor activities.

The ranch also happens to be about ten minutes from where the couple will be getting married later this year. The spot was reminiscent of where Tosha grew up so she felt right at home. The session started out looking a little gloomy but the clouds soon cleared and we had the perfect sunset to enjoy. We walked all around the property getting to know these two and hearing more about their upcoming wedding plans.

Read MoreAfter a long and dry summer drought, the skies opened up and Chico was bombarded with rain! It was the first week of January and these two were planning the celebration of a lifetime. According to the forecast, rain was inevitable. Luckily, Aaron&Jessie had planned ahead and chose the perfect venue for a wet winter day, Lakeside Pavilion. With so many outdoor venue options in Chico, weddings can run into issues if the clouds overhead decide to downpour…but not at Lakeside! The ceremony was set up inside with guests seated at their reception tables, comfy and dry!

In the town we live in, we'll have the most beautiful Spring weather and then all of a sudden towards the end of May, it will feel like a heat wave just hit us. That totally happened this week and right now, the air conditioner in the TréCrib is on full blast! Okay okay, I might be a little dramatic about how hot it's gotten, but it always takes me a few weeks to acclimate to the new changes. Anyone else feel that way?!?
